I’ve lost track of the days

I’m not sure how long it’s been since I started my sugar-free diet (I’ve lost track of the time). However, I’m happy to say that I’ve been pretty good. I ate two homemade Christmas cookies last weekend but that’s it. I haven’t seen a candy bar in a really long time. Do I miss it? You bet. Especially Belgian chocolate.

I want to thank everyone who posted and the great snack ideas will come in very useful as I expect to have a meltdown closer to Christmas (when I will be buying low-calorie fudgsicles).

Day 10: Thanks for the words of encouragement

Thanks to everyone who has posted words of encouragement. I really appreciate them. I’m on day ten of my sugar-free diet. Well, not exactly sugar-free as some products have some sugar such as yogurt but sugar-free in the sense that I don’t eat chocolate bars at 3 p.m. every afternoon. Glad to say that I’m hanging in there, although some days are tougher than others. Hopefully, the sugar-free thing will be a life style in a few weeks. Got my fingers crossed!

Again, thanks for the kind words of support!

Day 7: the counting continues

I made it through the weekend and am on day seven!  Sugar may not be my problem entirely. I caught myself snacking on pop corn. However, over all, I am pretty happy that I neither over ate nor gave in to my love for sugar.

Again, thank you for the kind replies to my posting.

Day 4: still counting

Anther sugar-free day. Sure helps to report it.

I want to thank all of you who send me such kind words of encouragement. I appreciate it.

 Have a great weeknd!

Day 3: bumping along

I successfully made it through another day without sugar. Now, I’m holding my breathe as I approach the weekend. Friday and Saturdays can be cursed. Hopefully, the knowledge that I need to post on Monday will keep me out of the Halloween candy.

Day 2: The battle with sugar

I want to thank those of you who posted to my posting. I appreciate your support and comments. It’s very kind of you.

I thought I would simply report my progress with sugar consumption by posting it. I see this as a great way to hold me accountable. Yesterday, I stayed out of the cookie jar, so to speak. I didn’t eat any sugar or anything that was bad for me. I managed to stay inside of my 18 points for weight watchers.

Hopefully, day #2 goes eaqually as well.

Weight loss and my nemesis - sugar

Greetings,

I’m new to buddy slim and am hoping to find a support group. I’ve struggled with the same 10 pounds of weight gain and weight loss for years now. I wouldn’t say that I’m obese but I’m overweight and would like to lose the 10 pounds and keep it off. I’ve been going to the gym fairly regularly since August (3 to 5 times per week) but have not seen the scale move. My inability to lose weight is directly related to how much sugar I eat.

In the late afternoon, I experience a dip in energy and then I “dip” into the candy.  So, I’ve brought more vegetables to work with me and am hoping to stay out of the candy. If I report it here and a buddy holds me accountable, I may get past this weakness - e.g. the late afternoon candy blues.

Hoping that posting my sugar consumption works!
